About Milwaukee Bat Removal

Welcome to milwaukeebat.com. We are the only qualified bat removal company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are a bat control company, and we specialize in the humane removal of bats from residential and commercial properties. Although bats have been associated with things like vampires and witches in popular media, they are a vital part of the ecosystem. Aside from keeping the insect population in check, some bat species also help pollinate several fruits we eat. However, they become a pest when they decide to make inside your chimney or attic their home. Unfortunately, they pose several health risks to homeowners. Our goal as a company is to help our clients get rid of their bat infestation problems. Bat control is specialty work because these flying mammals are delicate creatures. As a protected species, the indiscriminate killing of bats is illegal. That's why using lethal traps or poison is unacceptable. We don't use poison because it's inhumane and it causes undue pain to wildlife! Our control specialists have received specialized training to get rid of bats. What's more, they undergo routine seminars and training, so they can keep up with the latest trends and apply the best and most effective removal tactics to your infestation problem. We have the skills and tools to access hard-to-reach locations bats might be roosting in your home. Our professionals will remove them following local laws. We are fully licensed to engage in bat removal and prevention. If you have these nasty pests in your attic, chimney, or any other part of your property, give us a call today. Our customer service reps are always available to listen to your concerns. When you work with us, we will promptly identify bat entry points, remove the infestation and prevent their return.  We operate 24-7-365, so don't hesitate to call us at 414-306-6118 to discuss your bat problem and schedule a fast appointment.

Residential

We are experts at removing bats from residential properties. Whether you have a single bat trapped in your house, a colony roosting in your attic, and/or various other problems, there is no need to worry! During our removal process, we make sure to inspect your entire home carefully, tracking down all the entrypoints bats are using to invade your place. Next, we perform a process called live exclusion (where no bats are harmed and all exit your property), then seal all entry holes completely shut. We also take care of the cleanup process after, so your home is safe and clean!

Commercial

Besides residential areas, we also have a wealth of experience removing bats from commercial properties! We begin by investigating the area for possible bat entrances, covering holes even as small as 1/4 of an inch. Through our live exclusion process, bats leave the building through one-way exits, and we seal up every hole afterward. Once the bats have been removed, we perform a cleanup process. This includes dealing with guano, replacing damaged insulation, and decontaminating the place.

What Our Customers Say

What Are Bats Able To Chew Through?

Bats have sharp little teeth that look intimidating. In fact, the bat's appearance is what led to many of the myths regarding its abilities. It was also the basis for the creation of the vampire legend, which is nothing more than myth.

You can loom at a bat and see that its teeth are very sharp. However, they are not built in the same way that the teeth of other rodents are. For instance, rats chew incessantly because their teeth are constantly growing. Rats do have teeth strong enough to chew through just about any material because they have been adapted to do so.

Squirrels are similar. They must chew through the shell of the nuts they want to eat, and their teeth have been developed specifically for this process.

Bats, on the other hand, mainly eat insects and fruit. Some bats do feed off flowers. The point is that their teeth do not have the same capabilities to chew through the wood in your house. On the rare occasions when people are bitten by bats, they are often left with only a superficial wound that doesn't draw blood.

Bats do have sharp teeth, but they are not meant for breaking apart bone and flesh. They are mainly used for crushing insects as they feed.

Bat Damage

Bats do not chew on the structures in your attic as some may think but that is not to say that they will not cause thousands of dollars-worth of damage. Bats do cause a lot of damage to buildings and it comes in three main forms.

Bats defecate all the time. Their guano and their urine builds up over time ruining things like insulation and ceilings. Sheet rock and particle board will rot away over time due to bat defecation.

Bat guano carries diseases that can be spread through the air upon disturbance. The disease-causing spores found in bat guano are light enough to float through the air. Humans unknowingly inhale them and become sick.

Bat mites are the other common concern. They are similar to bed bugs and hard to get rid of. Bat mites feed off their human hosts and they will be there as long as the bats are.

Bats do tend to cause a lot of structural damage, but it typically does not come from chewing. Bats have sharp teeth, but they do not have the same capabilities as other rodents. While you want to avoid being bitten by a bat, you needn't worry about them chewing through things in your attic either.
